JOB REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
- Associate or Bachelors degree in business or related field is preferred.
Minimum Work Experience
- Previous healthcare or Physician Practice experience preferred.
Required Skills
- Excellent customer skills.
- Computer skills as well as the ability to type with accurate spelling, grammar and punctuation are required.
- Familiarization and use of Medical Terminology will be a part of everyday tasks.
- Having the ability to speak clearly and concisely with patients and providers is crucial.
- Must be able to perform duties and maintain personal conduct, attitude and appearance that conform to policies and procedures of the facility.
- Skills in establishing and maintaining effective and professional relationships with patients, medical staff, clerical staff and the public will be essential.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Essential Functions
- Accurately obtains and enters patient information into database, including the performance of insurance verification and verification of patient demographics
- Professionally administers all incoming calls.
- Greets guests and patients in a professional, friendly, hospitable manner.
- Ability to work independently on assigned tasks as well as accept direction on given assignments. Able to work with minimum supervision.
- Demonstrates knowledge of Electronic Medical Record and Practice Management Systems. Trains and serves as a resource person to Patient Access team members
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrates exceptional interpersonal communication skills.
- Floats to other areas as requested and responds to assignment with a positive attitude.

- Enters charges, payments and balances day end. Collects co-pays and payment on accounts from patients
