LEAD Oncology Pharmacist for Outpatient Infusion Cancer Center
REQUIREMENTS:
- Graduate from an accredited Pharmacy program
- Prefer ASHP PGY-1 Residency
- Prefer: ASHP PGY-2 Residency in Oncology
- BCOP can substitute for the PGY-2 Residency
COMPENSATION:
- $75-$110/hour
- + Relocation package $10,000 / + Sign on Bonus
- +Tuition Loan Reimbursement / +Onsite Interview expenses paid

INPATIENT PHARMACY DEPARTMENT:
- ASHP Best Practices Awards / ICU Pharmacy Team Award
- Staff of about 50 Clinical Pharmacists of which 85% are Residency Trained and 2/3 Board Certified. Total pharmacy staff is 130+. Integrated decentralized staffing model.
The Oncology Infusion Center is in The Cancer Center
- Volume at the Infusion Center is 100 doses per week
- Staff at Infusion Center: 3 technicians, 1 Clinical Pharmacist plus the Lead Pharmacist
- Staff at Cancer Center: The entire building also consists of 50 staff total; there are 3 Oncologists with offices in the same building as the Infusion Center
OVERVIEW of Oncology Infusion Pharmacist Lead:
- Provide leadership, development, and coordination of the pharmacy infusion services in the Cancer Clinic.
- This position reports to Assistant Director of Ambulatory Services
- Serves as clinical expert for Outpatient Oncology Infusion Services
- Works closely with pharmacy administration team
- Oversees compounded preparations
- Establishes annual goals with pharmacy administration team
- Participates in surveys, committees, budget, drug inventory, performance evals
- Reviews and revises pharmacy policies and procedures with pharmacy leadership team
- Preceptor; teaching/precepting of PGY1 residents and pharmacy students
- Participate in research and Oncology related patient care projects and presentations
