Shoreline Transportation is currently seeking a highly motivated individual to join our management department as a route supervisor.
Responsibilities:
- Direct activities related to dispatching, routing, and tracking transportation vehicles, such as Commercial Motor Vehicles.
- Plan, organize and manage the work of assigned employees to ensure that the work is accomplished in a manner consistent with organizational requirements.
- Available for night shift, 5:00PM to 5:00AM, Sunday – Friday and scheduled Saturdays.
- Serve as contact person for assigned customers or shippers within assigned territories.
- Collaborate with other managers and staff members to coordinate and plan for daily driver requirements.
- Monitor operations to ensure that staff members comply with administrative policies and procedures, safety rules, and government regulations.
- Work directly with maintenance management and staff to ensure repairs and maintenance to equipment, vehicles, and facilities are being met.
- When required, support as a truck driver for local accounts as needed.
- Report daily to executive management.
- Other requests made by the Operations Team.
Requirements:
- Currently live within a 30-mile radius of Greenville, AL.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in management and logistics planning.
- Experience with the logistics planning of Automotive Manufacturing a plus.
- Computer Skills a plus: Microsoft office, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong communication skills.
- Good organizational and motivational skills.
- Awareness of internal and external customer needs.
- Hold a class A, CDL with a clean MVR and 2-year’s driving experience.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
