The Field Sales Representative - Miami at Tru Earth is a dynamic and self-motivated person passionate about advancing the eco-friendly mission by growing the retail business in Miami. This role involves visiting retail stores, building relationships with key retailer employees, working with distributor account managers. Accountabilities include executing promotions, displays, sampling, events, etc. at retail stores. The key initiatives of the role are to grow retail door count, increase retail velocity, and build Tru Earth brand awareness. Main Job Tasks, Duties and Responsibilities
- Store visits daily in Miami (and surrounding areas).
- Building strong relationships with key store employees generate new business opportunities using appropriate company resources, programs, systems, email marketing, and follow-up techniques to create long-term interest for key prospects and current customers.
- Gain distribution at new local retailers.
- Identify and close distribution voids at retail stores.
- Secure display programs with retail store and execute the building of displays.
- Monitor Account Managers’ promotional calendars.
- Oversee retail promotion executions and success.
- Report back to Account Managers on executions and success of promotions and activities.
- Running events at local retailers and other venues.
- Meet monthly, quarterly, and annual sales revenue expectations.
- Participating in meetings and training sessions, as provided by (or assisted by) Tru Earth; attending industry-related events (travel may be required); staying in formed of new market information, contest, innovations, etc.; acting as brand representative on behalf of the team.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 2+ years of experience working a sales role in the CPG industry.
- 2+ years of experience working with distribution partners (UNFI & KeHE is a plus).
- Lived or worked in Miami – knowledge of Miami grocery markets
Key Skills and Competencies
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Outgoing and personable – ability to foster strong relationships with people in short period of time.
- Self-starter that can oversee multiple projects and daily tasks.
- Passionate about the environment and sustainable living.
- Driver’s license and car (stipend or gas money to be provided).
- Must be able to lift 50lbs.
- Willing to work nights and weekends (as needed).
