Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the food industry, exceptional culinary skills, and the ability to lead a team in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Head Chef in all aspects of kitchen operations
- Oversee food preparation and ensure quality standards are met
- Manage kitchen staff and coordinate their tasks
- Collaborate with the culinary team to create new dishes and menus
- Maintain inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations
- Train and mentor kitchen staff on proper techniques
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a similar role in a restaurant or hospitality setting
- Strong knowledge of kitchen management, food service management, and shift management
- Culinary degree or equivalent certification is a plus
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of bartending techniques is advantageous
- Team management experience is preferred
