In 2018, Chelsea Piers Fitness brought its commitment to world-class fitness to Downtown Brooklyn with its first stand-alone fitness facility.
Both the Chelsea and Brooklyn locations feature comprehensive personal training services, studio-quality fitness programming, indoor swimming pools, recreational and competitive sports clubs, communal work and social spaces, artisanal food offerings and a year-round calendar of social and cultural events that reflect the ethos of the neighborhoods they serve. Chelsea Piers Fitness is designed to inspire and reflect the creative needs of its members as they build toward achieving their fitness goals.
Chelsea Piers Fitness is looking for ambassadors of health and fitness who are highly qualified, career oriented, and passionate coaches to join our Group Fitness team. Our vibrant Group Fitness schedule includes a variety of modalities including yoga, barre, Pilates Mat, Pilates Reformer, HIIT, strength, cycling, boxing and digital options.
Our goal is to deliver consistently positive, safe and engaging member experiences.
Role & Responsibilities:
The responsibilities and duties described here are representative of those a Group Fitness instructor must perform. This is not a comprehensive list and other duties may be assigned.
General Responsibilities:

Serve as an Instructor and provide members an amazing Group Fitness experience.

Engage in marketing and social media outreach and participate in events to gain a loyal following of Chelsea Piers Fitness members.

Act as a Brand Ambassador for Chelsea Piers Fitness.
- Provide excellent customer service, externally and internally.

Participate in special and member events as scheduled, virtually and in-person.

Maintain operations protocols in classes.

Complete all administrative requirements associated with class preparation.
Qualifications:

At least 2 years of teaching group fitness classes preferred.

High-energy, personable and passion for fitness with a team-first mentality.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Teams.

Strong communication skills.

Reliability.
- Must be able to lift 30 to 45 pounds or appropriate weight to lead class
Work Schedule:
- Must have the flexibility to work a non-traditional schedule including weekend, holiday and early morning/midday/late evening weekday availability.

Paid through bi-weekly payroll.
