Duties:
- Verify patient insurance coverage and benefits
- Communicate with insurance companies to verify claim statuses
- Review and analyze insurance information for accuracy
- Update patient records with insurance details
- Must be comfortable communicating with patients with insurance-related inquiries
Skills:
- MUST be well-versed in the medical insurance "world"
- Experience in medical collections is a plus, comfort on the phone is required.
This role requires attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting, WITHOUT micro-management. You MUST be a self-starter, an independent worker, and able to communicate when you need help if you ever do.
