Under the direct supervision of the DFAC Manager, The dishwasher performs a variety of tasks concerned with the kitchen and dining areas. The Dishwasher will ensure that wares for the front and back of the house are clean and sanitized. Responsible for cleaning the kitchen area including floors, equipment, walls, and light fixtures, as well as general kitchen cleaning. Stores cleaned items and cleaning material. Collects soiled dishes, scrapes, and soaks items. Dispose of food wastes in the garbage disposal or trash receptacle. Responsible for picking up and storing non-food items, cleaning solutions, and paper products, kitchen cleaning and operations (machine and manual washing), and perimeter cleaning functions. Responsible for sanitation, cleanliness, and ensuring the DFAC is visually appealing and orderly.
EXAMPLES OF DUTIES: (This list may not include all of the duties assigned)
Washes all wares including pots, plans, flatware, and glasses, by hand or using dishwashers.
- Correctly places and stores clean equipment, dishes, and utensils in assigned storage areas.
- Stocks serving stations, cupboards, refrigerators, and other assigned areas with necessary dishes and utensils.
- Cleans trash receptacles with water or steam.
- Moves dishwashing supplies and equipment from storage to work area by hand or using hand trucks.
- May assist in cleaning and preparing various foods for cooking and/or serving, as directed.
- Ensures work areas remain safe, clean, and orderly, adhering to all company, local, and state guidelines regarding health, safety, and sanitation.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
- ServSafe Certification
- Some high school coursework required.

Pay: $15.00 - $19.60 per hour
