Lendlease serves as the owner, developer, design-builder, asset manager, and the exclusive developer for the Department of Defense’s only lodging privatization program through a 50-year partnership. In total, the $1.8 billion Privatization of Army Lodging (PAL) program will result in the development and/or renovation of more than 12,000 hotel rooms across 40 military installations nationwide.
JOB SUMMARY:
From the top down, Lendlease holds an uncompromising commitment to the safety of workers and anyone who sets foot on our sites. We practice a behavior based and collaborative risk management approach to win others over to upholding our commitment to safety.. In this role you will lead the site construction team to create a positive safety culture with the construction teams (to include constructors and subcontractors) building new hotels, renovating hotels, and demolishing hotels on military bases.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Create a highly engaged EH&S team that collaborates well amongst themselves and with their project teams.

Build trusting relations and regularly communicate with direct reports, project leaders and project partners, to include subcontractors.

Stays informed of all high-risk work underway, ensure proper planning has occurred and that plans meet Lendlease’s requirements.

Timely reports EH&S incidents and high potential learning opportunities. Ensure timely filing of forms and documentation for the team.

Communicates regularly with manager, keeping them apprised of decisions, issues, and escalate issues appropriately and timely.

Presents effectively during Project Reviews and other leaderships and partner meeting.

Stay current with Lendlease's Site Specific Safety Plans, Lendlease’s overall safety requirements, and government regulations. Keep the team educated.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Possess a solid understanding of construction.
-
Knowledgeable of OSHA requirements relating to construction. (Minimum OSHA 10 & 30, with an CSP, ASP, CHST, OHST, STS certification preferred).

Have a genuine passion for people and their safety and wellbeing.

Demonstrated ability to positively influence others while navigating difficult situations and conversations.

Clear and engaging communicator, along with the ability to be interactive when presenting training.

Proficiency in standard business software, including Microsoft Excel, and electronic/digital file management.

Minimum 8+ years of field experience on commercial construction sites.
