Position Summary:
Perform a wide range of sales, service, and technical support for Business Banking Relationship Managers while providing superior customer service to Business Banking Clients. Assist Relationship Managers with the servicing and development of prospective and current business relationships. This high contact position is also responsible for the origination of and development of consumer related sales efforts for loan and deposit growth through a proactive and professional sales approach.
Primary Responsibilities:

Coordinates the Business Banking Group and C.I.F. data to support and expand Relationship Manager Portfolios.

Understands Business and Retail banking products and services in order to converse knowledgeably and professionally with clients and prospects.

Maintains professional and consistent communication with clients, prospects, and associates in all written, telephone, and in-person contacts, taking the initiative to resolve clients’ requests.

Conducts fact gathering interviews with Business and Retail clients to maximize relationship development. Calls on customers and prospects to cross-sell bank services.

Performs special customer service activities outside the bank, to include loan closings, sales calls, document delivery, etc. as needed; may involve driving to and from specific locations.

Handles daily Business account relationship management in concert with Relationship Managers by participating in client/lender meetings to build awareness of clients’ needs. Works with client office managers, secretaries, and other important support staff in concert with Relationship Managers and their client retention plans. Makes telephone calls to schedule appointments for Relationship Manager on special promotions and all other client projects.

Prepares loan closing packages for lenders, verifying all documents for accuracy. Close loans when officer is unavailable.

Drafts loan memorandums on loan extensions, in conjunction with assigned lender, forwarding documents to Operations.

Coordinates overdraft decisions and contacts customers that are overdrawn each morning for all business accounts serviced by assigned Relationship Managers.

Refers clients to other areas of the bank to cross sell investment and mortgage products and services.

Reviews and follow-up on clients’ past due loan accounts.

Works in conjunction with Operations to ensure client’s accounts and requests are processed timely and accurately. Handle payments and advances for customers in person, by fax, and by phone.

Participates with the Sales Associates Group to implement actions to improve customer service and the Business Banking Group’s efficiency, effectiveness, and continuity.

Meets or exceed standards of performance for Sales Associates including personal goals and other standards as established by management.

Participates in community activities to increase bank visibility and undertake special projects and/or assignments relating to the group and the bank.

Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Possess valid driver’s license, reliable transportation and adequate auto insurance.
