Responsibilities:
- 1st Responsibility – Ensuring personal safety and the safety of your coworkers.

Use sketches, blueprints, specifications, and models to plan operations for the fabrication of dies, tools, and assemblies, ensuring safety and maximum efficiency.

Perform die modifications and repair for surface quality and accuracy.

Verify dimensions of finished parts to ensure they conform to specifications using dial indicators, gauge blocks, calipers, and micrometers.

Diagnose and troubleshoot problems and perform repairs on tools, manually operated dies, and progressive dies.
- Use hand and machine tools to assemble parts of tools and dies and to repair and modify gauges, jigs, and dies.
- Perform welding, grinding, operate cranes, machining, & fabrication.

Select the appropriate metals and materials to be used based on properties, ensuring they meet project specifications.

Perform machining, finishing, assembly and tuning of dies.

Shim sharpen existing dies.

Work with forming dies.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to lift to 50 pounds repetitively.

3+ years of relevant experience required.
- Experience building and/or maintaining high volume stamping dies, welding ability, spotting ability and hand finishing skills.
- Knowledge of cutting and forming sheet metal stamping operation.

Strong machine tool operations and mechanical knowledge required.

Education and certifications preferred but not required.
