Job Description – Business Manager
The Business Manager position is a salaried, exempt position with a 12-month work schedule.
Overall Responsibilities
The Business Manager is responsible for helping maintain financial records, processing transactions, onboarding new employees, and maintaining HR files. In conjunction with our accountant, the Business Manager will manage accurate financial records and documentation, ensure compliance with accounting standards and policies, reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and other financial accounts regularly, assist in processing payroll, including data entry, calculation of wages, and deduction management, and maintain employee payroll records, including timekeeping, benefits, and tax-related information.
Leadership
- Maintain a high personal standard consistent with the school’s Core Virtues, vision, mission and motto.
- Support the vision, policies, financial objectives and directives of the governing board.
- Support a positive school culture based on mutual respect and shared expectations.
- Regularly meet with the board chairman, Head of School, and Operations Manager to coordinate school activities and discuss outcomes and issues to ensure the long-term school success.
- Be willing to assist others as needed.
Qualifications
- The minimum educational requirement for this job is a high school degree.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and other industry-specific technology.
- The ability to communicate effectively and problem solve in a fast-paced environment is critical to the success in this position.
