Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/ psychosocial support needs.
Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
Delivers quality patient care while completing assignments in compliance with the Nursing Process, the Arizona Practice Act, The Joint Commission-TJC, and State Regulations.
Maintains compliance with organizational policies, as well as established practices, protocols, procedures of the position, department and applicable professional standards.
The Registered Nurse assesses, plans, implements and evaluates care for a given population based upon age specific and cultural needs. This is done in a collaboration multidisciplinary approach embracing quality and safety.
Coordinates delivery of care for the unit and facilitates problem solving with staff members and communicates necessary issues with unit director.
Assures quality of care by measuring health outcomes against patient care goals and standards; making or recommending necessary adjustments, following philosophies and standards of care set by Arizona State Board of nursing and other governing agency regulations
