Step into an instrumental role as a Client Service Specialist ! Help conduct the smooth operation of a fast-paced—and friendly—financial planning office. Work as an employee of an independent advisor franchisee with a financial advisory practice of Ameriprise Financial and assist in daily business operations.

Key Responsibilities
Client Service
- Schedule client appointments
- Meeting prep
- Maintain client accounts, including suitability and personal information
- Update and review client’s estate planning documents including trusts and Powers of Attorney
- Create and process new business
- Update client account information as needed
- Maintain files and records
- Scan, upload and shred client documents
- Review and respond to emails as necessary
- Use specific Ameriprise tools
- Plan and prioritize own work schedule
- Use to-do lists, calendars, computer software or other work/time management systems
- Money Movement needs
- Perform other allowable duties as assigned

Education and/or Experience:
- Client service experience in a wealth management office preferred
- Two years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Continuing education – Lifelong learning is expected.
Language Skills:
- Able to read, analyze, and interpret general business practices
- Able to write business correspondence
- Able to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential and mandatory
Computer Skills:
- Able to use MS Excel, MS Word, Outlook, Teams, Adobe, MS PowerPoint, contact management systems, database software and other software tools as necessary
- Salesforce® CRM experience
Technical duties, tasks, and skills:
- Able to process Money Movement requests
- Able to understand a financial plan

- It is essential that the Client Service Specialist role has a high degree of integrity, honesty, commitment and trust. The financial health, image and goodwill of the company are highly influenced by the person holding this position.
- A successful Client Service Specialist will have excellent inter and intrapersonal relationship skills, effective communication skills and the willingness to show empathy and understanding for various points of view.
- Able to communicate with clients in a professional, clear and concise manner is essential.
- The Client Service Specialist must exercise discretion in dealing with the personal information of clients.
Physical Demands:
This position operates in a fast paced, highly regulated and ever-changing environment. There are no significant physical demands other than the endurance required to deal with the fast pace.
Work Environment:
The work environment is typical office work such as you would find in a bank, insurance business, accounting firm, law firm or other professional office. There are no unusual or significant hazards and reasonable accommodations can usually be made.
