POSITION: Osuna Ranch Night Check
REPORTS TO: Osuna Ranch Manager
FLSA STATUS: Non-exempt
POSITION SUMMARY:
Osuna Ranch is a historic 25-acre property purchased by the RSF Association in 2006 that is home to an old adobe building believed to be one of the oldest existing structures in California. Osuna Ranch features an equestrian boarding and training facility, miles of walking paths, expansive grass pastures and grounds for many community events hosted throughout the year.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

To be performed between 7 pm and 11:00 pm.

Check each horse for signs of colic/or injuries.

Report any sickness/injuries to owner, trainer, manager, and vet.

Wait with sick/ injured horse until trainer/owner arrives.

Check that horses have water.

If there’s a broken waterer, shut water off and replace with buckets.

Report any broken pipes to manager.

If there is a water leak/broken pipe report to manager and RSFA patrol.

Report any concerns to manager and Rancho Santa Fe Patrol.
EXPERIENCE:

1 year of experience working with horses
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Frequent or occasional need to perform the following physical activities: grasping, finger dexterity, bending, pushing, pulling, twisting. Lifting/carrying up to 50 pounds

Standing and walking on various surfaces for an extended period of time.
