This is project management and sales position working with our commercial and contract clients as well as supporting our retail team. The position requires interacting with a varied customers and assisting/advising them with product selections based on their individual needs. Whether that interaction occurs in our showroom or on the job site in the community, the objective is always to provide flooring advice that will make the customers' buying decision easier.

Duties
Although not an all-inclusive list, the following are some of the duties and expectations that we have for this position: Florcraft has a very strong onboarding and training plan so we will help you grow the knowledge needed for success:

Manage Home improvement projects.

Provide estimates and measure flooring and Window covering projects with the oversight of fellow Sales Professionals.

Sell flooring, window coverings, cabinets and floor care products

Keep up-to-date on the wide select of floors we have to offer along with the features and benefits provided by each.

Provide outstanding customer service

Help work through, and follow-up after, the completion of each job

Build client relationships

Network regularly, and work effectively, with other store employees
-
Execute targeted sales strategies
-
Use computer database to research the availability of merchandise and to process orders
-
Follow up in a timely and professional manner with all customers on requests and/or concerns

Advise customers about flooring choices and selections (explain features/benefits, etc.)

Maintain commercial library by keeping samples and displays neat, current, and clean

Prospect for new business
Requirements
The ideal candidate must be:

Confident and have a competitive nature

Willing to divide his or her work time between the showroom floor and prospecting for new clients (out networking within the community).

Willing to undergo our extensive product and sales training.

A self-starter.

Well-organized.

Able to comprehend the importance of outstanding customer service and relationships.

Able to provide exceptional follow-up and communication to ensure the above.
Some additional qualifications include:

Must have access to reliable transportation in order to get to work, and to visit project locations (as necessary)

Open and flexible work availability including the possibility of occasional Saturday's

Strong knowledge of the Microsoft Office programs and a willingness to learn our operating systems
Nice To Haves
In this role you will have a lot of support as you build your knowledge.
An existing understanding of construction would be great knowledge to have.
This would be an ideal position for someone with installation experience.
Experience working with commercial property management companies as well as contractors.
Existing experience with commercial bidding would also be a valuable skill but not required.
Ability to read blueprints or projects specs

This position is a Salary/hourly + Bonus position and could evolve into a full sales professional role.
