The Strategic Marketing Manager drives the market mapping, planning, strategy, branding, and communications within their market segment. The Strategic Marketing Manager is responsible for identifying effective marketing solutions to sell products, enhance and maintain the organization's brand image, retain existing customers, attract new customers, and drive revenue creation. The Strategic Marketing Manager drives value to the organization by ensuring these strategic activities and processes are properly communicated and followed throughout the organization. This role will be focused on the Building and Infrastructure market.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead the commercial team in the creation of a strategic business plan to target sales growth for their segment.
- Own the 6-15 month forecast for the segment.
- Directionally drive goals for their segment to align with broader organizational goals.
- Maintain a rolling five-year plan that addresses all capability and capacity needs to support the strategic plan.
- Provide review segment’s strategic markets, trends, drivers, outlook, market position, and competitive landscape.
- Participate in and facilitate Blueprinting and other customer and potential customer discovery work.
- Provide input to the marketing communications team for the preparation of marketing collateral, website management, social media, trade show, and other demand generation campaigns.
- Collaborate with the Strategic Planning & Marketing Director to understand future marketplace trends, market needs, competitor data, regulatory environment, company product share and product performance in support of strategic planning and GROW (Innovation) processes.
Experience & Education
- Minimum of 3 Years of experience successfully leading effective marketing strategy in a fast-paced business environment.
- Prior experience in the polymers industry with a focus on the Building and Infrastructure market preferred.
- Successful completion of a bachelor's degree program with a focus on Marketing, Sales, or Business Administration is preferred.
- Experience exhibiting, influencing, and giving talks in the plastics industry space (Plastics Engineers, Vinyl Institute, etc.) is preferred.
