Job Summary
Kidspace is seeking a dynamic self-starter for a part-time pediatric occupational therapist position in San Francisco. This is an hourly position with a 10-15 hour minimum requirement, across 2-3 afternoons per week, with potential to increase.
Kidspace is a private practice clinic providing 1:1 OT and Social Skills Groups. Our highly experienced therapists value collaboration using a family centered approach. Competitive pay rates. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of pediatric experience in sensory integration and an interest in expanding their current skills to meet the demands of the children we work with.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Conduct evaluations
- Provide weekly therapy and documentation
- Provide written reports for initial evaluations, ongoing progress, and home programs
- Work collaboratively with parents, schools, and other professionals as needed
Qualifications and Skills
- Degree in Occupational Therapy and California OT license in good standing
- Clear and concise verbal and written communication style
- Willing to take initiative and adapt as needed in a position with a high degree of autonomy
- Strong clinical reasoning and problem solving skills
- Solid understanding of the OT framework with a willingness to think out of the box
- Strong foundation in Sensory Integration theory and treatment
- Background in learning differences, autism, and ADHD
- Confident in educating parents, teachers, and other professionals
- Familiar with administration of the BOT-2 (Bruininks-Oseretsky Test of Motor Proficiency 2nd Edition) and PDMS-2 (Peabody Developmental Motor Scales Second Edition)
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $35.00 - $77.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10 – 15 per week
