Job Description
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following, but OTHER DUTIES MAY BE ASSIGNED.
Order Flow:
- Monitor open orders to determine the priority of orders to be picked.
- Rank orders based on priority level, ship date, inventory items, and size of order.
- Select orders to be released and picking lists printed.
- Review picking lists for completeness and feasibility.
- Complete manifest entry for shipments.
- Confirm orders including quantity shipped, lot numbers, and backorders.
- Calculate additional charges to be added. (i.e. – freight, service upgrades)
- Reconcile carrier invoices in EM6 and ensure accuracy of charges prior to approval.
- Input/enter info regarding purchasing in PN3 and submit for approval.
- Track and monitor status of outstanding orders including open paperwork, backorders, and comparison to Solomon reports.
- Coordinate common carriers for order pick up or shipping.
- Contact customers for customer pick up or with shipping info
- Process work orders in a timely manner, as required.
- Work with production manager, buyers, customer service, and sales to ensure and communicate product availability.
- Conduct periodic cycle counts and work to resolve discrepancies.
- Actively participate in physical inventory; conduct physical inventories of raw materials, Work in Process items, and supplies.
- Process needed inventory transactions to maintain inventory accuracy.
- Periodically run reports to identify inventory shortages for raw materials, product and product components.
Operations Support:
- Resolve issues with packing slips and reprint as needed.
- Communicate with customer service regarding any issues with order entry.
- Coordinate with Inventory Control to resolve inventory issues.
- Coordinate with Turlock and Memphis operations to ensure label availability are adequate at each site. Order labels as necessary for both facilities.
- Assist sales team with inquires as they relate to products and orders.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum – High School diploma or equivalent.
- Customer service background and/or Shipping work experience preferred.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret reports data and industry publications.
- Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from management.
- Ability to effectively present information to management.
MATHEMATICAL AND COMPUTER SKILLS:
- High proficiency in Microsoft Windows environment.
- Use of personal computer, keyboard, and software packages including: Windows and Microsoft Office.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Solid organizational and filing skills.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: Occasional overtime due to special projects.
