Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse or physician
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers
- Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes or abnormalities
- Assist with patient assessments and document findings accurately
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement care plans
- Educate patients and their families about their conditions and treatment options
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records
- Adhere to infection control protocols and ensure a safe environment for patients
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
- Ability to lift and move patients safely
- Proficiency in using electronic health record systems and medical software
- Familiarity with ICD-9 coding for accurate documentation and billing purposes
- Experience in performing gastric lavage and airway management procedures
- Skilled in conducting laboratory tests and interpreting results
- Ability to provide comprehensive care for patients with various health conditions
- Knowledge of health coaching techniques to support patient self-management
- Understanding of primary care principles and practices
- Experience in providing specialized care for patients with dementia
