Peace Care St. Ann's has an immediate opening for a Manager of Human Resources who will have overall responsibility for organizing and implementing the Human Resources functions and policies for the Skilled Nursing Facility.
Responsibilities will include:
- Talent acquisition, employee on-boarding and orientation.
- Team member engagement and relations, including mediation and investigation of complaints and grievances to achieve appropriate resolution.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable Federal and State of New Jersey laws and regulations (OSHA, FMLA, FLSA, EEOC, ADA, ADEA, etc.)
- Maintain human resources policies and procedures and recommends policy changes as required. Provides training and education on current and revised human resources policies.
- Workers compensation administration and leave of absence process.
- Ensure consistent application of human resources guidelines and practices by coaching/advising management on effective employee engagement, performance management, reward, recognition and disciplinary issues.
- Liaison for the representative of the Union on all matters concerning the collective bargaining agreement.
- Collaborates with Peace Care leadership to foster a fair work environment and a deeply engaged employee population. Builds strong relationships with employees, supervisors, and managers.
- Maintain an updated and compliant employee handbook.
- Manage the performance appraisal process.
- Administration of all benefit plans and suggests enhancements within budget implications.
- Maintain employee human resources files and all related record keeping in a compliant and confidential manner.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management or related field
- SHRM License preferred
- Skilled Nursing Facility or healthcare field background
- Must have prior HR experience
- Must be well organized
- Excellent oral/written communication skills
