POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking a picking clerk to join our team! The ideal candidate will work in a warehouse setting, responsible for accurately picking orders and preparing them for shipment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Efficiently pick customer orders for shipment in chronological order.
- Ensure orders are picked correctly and match the packing list
- Prepare orders for shipment by packaging items securely
- Confirm correct product has been selected and is damage free
- Be able to comprehend part numbers and their descriptions.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Obtain parts in an organized fashion.
- Must follow all general safety policies and procedures as established by the department and the company
- Complete other warehouse tasks as needed.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Help in other departments on an as-needed basis
- Other duties defined by the Shipping Supervisor
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
- Ability to read and count accurately
- Knowledge of basic mathematics
- Knowledge of using a pallet jack
- Ability to multi-task and work at a quick pace when necessary
- Capable of sitting, standing, and walking for extended periods of time
- Ability to accurately follow directions
- Ability to work in a group setting as well as independently
- Understanding of basic warehouse principals.
