Experienced installer needed!
In business over 20 years. 30+employees generating 10M+ in sales. 6 crews covering most of Florida. This position is for most work concentrated in Gainesville. Has ability for overtime and some travel for added $. Some sites we have worked on include Disney, Universal, Florida Public Schools, UF and Shands, government facilities and many more.
Can advance quickly with proven skills, we are a small company doing big things! Great position and ability to become a crew leader or foreman. Needing a great carpenter or handyman that wants to earn great pay while providing great service.
Installing finished products on commercial sites. Various items from interior wall protection, visual displays, bathroom partitions, doors w hardware to fire specialties, flagpoles and lockers. Must be able to perform duties standing, kneeling, on a ladder or other man lift equipment. Job Description – Crew Leader
· 3-5 years’ experience working on commercial construction job sites and interacting with General Contractor's Superintendents, Project Managers, and other Subcontractors in a professional manner.
· Overnight travel can be involved with this position.
· Reliable transportation with a valid driver’s license is required.
· Crew Leader must train, lead, and supervise carpenters/installers/subs to optimize productivity, maintain safety, and deliver quality workmanship.
· Must display strong leadership skills.
· Able to plan and prioritize projects, manage timelines, manage materials, labor, and equipment for multiple projects.
· Works under the Foreman’s supervision, but is trusted to exercise independent judgment, make prompt correct decisions, and manage labor/crews effectively.
Work Requirements:
· Experienced in rough and finish carpentry.
· Experienced in installation of commercial doors and hardware.
· Experienced in installation of architectural specialties – restroom stalls & accessories, lockers, wall protection, flagpoles, etc.
· Ability to read, interpret and apply construction drawings/specifications
· Strong Organizational Skills - Capable of managing multiple projects & crews simultaneously.
· Strong People Skills – Capable of managing, motivating, and training crew members.
· Strong Communication Skills – proficient in the use of email, electronic documents, daily reports, issue documentation; proficient in use of cell phone, I-pad, computer, construction-related apps, and programs.
· Experience/comprehension of computers and using electronic devices (i.e. tablets, smart phone, etc.) preferred.
