Duties:
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by a physician
- Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes or abnormalities
- Assist with procedures, such as venipuncture
- Provide health coaching and education to patients and their families
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and Coordinate care with other healthcare professionals and specialists.
Additional
-Document patient information, including medical history, symptoms, and treatment - plans
- Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and safety guidelines
- Chart prep, chart filing, call and confirm all procedures.
- Answer patient calls
- Pathology: maintaining paperwork and review all consent forms
-Next day follow up calls on the patients progress
- Ordering Supplies: IV and medical , including medications
- Crash cart weekly /monthly checks and medical refrigerator time and/temp checks, check monitors weekly.
Qualifications:
- Valid LPN license in the state of New York
- Proficiency in medical terminology and documentation
- Experience with starting an IV
- Knowledge of Durable Medical Equipment (DME) usage and maintenance
- Familiarity with electronic medical record systems DSN
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- BLS Certification
