The Cashier serves as the team member for all functions of point of sales transactions. Working closely with all store personnel, they provide high quality customer service.
JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Greets, directs and assists customers.

Operates the Counterpoint point of sales system

Processes transactions in the point of sales system

Receives and processes payment from customers credit card and customer account sales

Processes customer orders, backorders, drop shipments and researches customer orders
-
Assists customers with unique and hard-to-find items
- Ensures cleanliness of store; sweeps and cleans the sales counter and surrounding area as needed

Assists in stocking of shelves and items
-
Completes special projects as needed

Works with store management to create a safe, clean, and healthy work environment
-
Other duties as assigned

Must be able to speak English

High School diploma or equivalent required
-
Experience as a cashier
-
Nonprofit experience a plus
-
Customer Service Skills required

Basic math skills
-
Ability to stock shelves
-
Ability to read credit card numbers (if needed with the aid of a magnifier, or CCTV)

Basic computer and key boarding skills
-
Ability to visually locate and scan bar codes

Must be regular and good in attendance

Must be able to work with minimal supervision

Must be a team player
-
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Must be able to stand for long periods of time

Must be able to move around the floor without assistance
