****Applicants seeking short-term or part-time work with the University Hawai'i may apply for Casual Hire positions, which include administrative, professional, and technical (APT) or instructional-type positions. Because of the temporary nature of these appointments, Casual Hire employees are not eligible for most benefits as provided to regular BOR and Civil Service employees such as paid leave and holidays. Casual Hire appointments may last for up to 89 days for full-time employees, and up to 1 calendar year for part-time employees.

Duties and Responsibilities

**Provide professional level support for the executive education programs.
-
**Ensure classrooms, dining rooms, and restrooms are open on time and follow up with appropriate contact if necessary.

**Assist students and faculty with technology connections within the classroom.
-
**Responsible for monitoring and troubleshooting simple technical interruptions, which may include connecting equipment to remote sites, operating remote controlled cameras, switching, and overall coordination for distance learning classes.
-
**Efficiently prepare and clean up dining facility for scheduled meals and snacks.
-
**Provide timely and detailed status reports and feedback to EEC staff.

**Provide general class support such as taking attendance, proctoring exams, collecting and distributing program and course materials.

Other duties as assigned to successfully support executive education programs.
Minimum Qualifications
-
Completion of high school diploma or equivalent.
-
Must be highly dependable, responsible, with a high level of customer service.

Demonstrated ability to work independently.

Must possess strong interpersonal skills and be able to communicate effectively with full-time working professional students, faculty, and staff.

Ability to be proactive, multi-task and work professionally under pressure.

Experience working in a higher education setting and or customer service environment.
-
Must be available to work on weeknights and weekends.
Desirable Qualifications

Experience taking online courses or working with online educational technology.
-
Experience in providing online educational support.

Experience in working in higher education.
