We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Accounting Associate to supervise employees working in one or more accounting functions, while also performing assigned tasks for STIIIZY’s Accounting Department. While the primary focus of this role is Senior Accounting Associate, the successful candidate may also have the opportunity to cross-train in other positions within the department based on organizational needs.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Supervises Accounting Associates I, II and III that record transactions, invoices, or payments to the organization’s general ledger or accounts payables/receivables systems.

Ensures transactions or records are entered accurately and in a timely manner.

Researches and resolves discrepancies.

Assists the Accounting Manager and upper management with accounting close processes or the creation of financial statements and/or reports.

Garners knowledge of the field’s policies, procedures, and practices to cascade down to staff.

Leads and directs the work of other employees.

Typically has little authority for personnel decisions related to hiring, performance, or disciplinary actions, and much of the incumbent’s time is spent completing the same tasks as the subordinate employees.

Handles complex issues and problems and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff.

Performs other duties as needed in support of business objectives assigned by supervisor, including leading projects.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

Comprehensive experience and/or knowledge within the field; preferred.

Typically requires a bachelor’s degree preferably in finance, economics or related field.

Experience with Odoo or a similar ERP system, particularly if the candidate is knowledgeable about cost/inventory/purchasing modules for an ERP system.

Experience with Indica Online preferred.

Minimum 3 years of experience; preferred.
REQUIREMENTS

Available for on-site operations work Monday-Friday.

Work revolves around objectives, projects, and priorities- not hours; must be able to work weekends and holidays as needed.
