Job Title: Technical Supervisor
Role & Responsibilities:
- Responsible for development, maintenance, and installation of all controls and automation equipment for the Plant.
- Responsible for all modifications made to automation/controls programming, software, and HMI’s
- Responsible for leading, developing, and motivating an technical crew that is responsible for the maintenance and installation of all electrical equipment for the Plant.
- Responsible for training, coaching, developing, and retaining competent employees to ensure appropriate depth and skill proficiency.
- Accountable for maintaining high levels of crew safety performance.
- Drive continuous improvement efforts within controls and electrical functions.
- Execution of the Plant RPM program.
- Develop and execute the preventative maintenance program for all electrical equipment and direct the use of this program for inspections and repairs.
- Maintain accurate documentation for all motors and electrical systems to facilitate prompt troubleshooting and maintain plant production capacity.
- Design of new electrical installations and control circuits and performs the necessary layout work for all new installation.
- Responsible for collaborating with other plant functions as needed to ensure optimum coordination of activities.
- Engage employees in pursuit of a positive and productive work environment
- Maintain and become proficient in all aspects of controls and have specialized training in the Valmet DCS system.
- Keep abreast of technical developments within the papermaking industry to recommend process improvements.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Proven electrical maintenance experience
- Safety-first mentality.
- A strong understanding of the RPM/EAM model
- Advanced Allen-Bradley ControlLogix PLC programming experience using RSLogix
- Knowledge of Panelview connection and modification using RSView or FactoryTalk software
- HMI development experience with WonderWare Intouch and Ignition preferred
- Strong Ethernet IP, Profibus, and Analog communications configuration and troubleshooting
- Knowledge of variable speed drive configuration and troubleshooting. Experience with Yaskawa drives preferred
- Must have the ability to read and modify electrical and process control drawings
- Ability to configure instrumentation and bring online with a PLC
- Associate degree, specialized education, or related training in process control and electronics is preferred
- Working knowledge of the plant processes
- Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills
- Self-starter with strong organizational skills and the ability to adapt to changing circumstances
- Proficient in required computer-based applications and diligent oversight of assigned administrative and record-keeping tasks
Hourly Rate: $44.05
Rate of pay may be adjusted based on the qualifications and experience of the candidate.
