Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital (HMNH) is a 357 bed acute care, independent non-profit hospital with a Level II Trauma Center and supports 71 specialties and sub-specialties.
HMNH is known to receive prestigious accreditations and recognition in a multitude of specialty designations for excellence in healthcare, the hospital offers an array of services, including newly opened fitness and health center, maternity department, cancer program, advanced primary stroke center and spine and joint program. We are in search for a Clinical Nurse Manager, Med Surg to join our team.
As a Clinical Nurse Manager you will:
- Collaborate with the Service Line Director.
- Be accountable for the 24 hour day-to-day management of clinical nursing practice and patient care delivery, the management of human, fiscal and other resources, the development of personnel, compliance with regulatory and professional standards, unit strategic planning and the fostering of interdisciplinary collaborative relationships within the department and the organization as a whole.
- Focus on the daily operations of respective assigned areas in order to achieve safe and effective patient care delivery, service excellence, accreditation, financial responsiveness and patient care satisfaction.
- Consistently model excellence in patient care and service excellence and contribute to unit leadership at a high level of proficiency.
We are looking for a Clinical Nurse Manager who has:
- Current California RN License
- Current BLS provider card card from American Heart Association
- Current ACLS provider card card from American Heart Association
- National Certification in clinical area of expertise preferred
- BSN prepared
- Master’s Degree in Nursing (preferred) or a related field
- Membership in Professional Organization preferred
- Five (5) or more year’s acute hospital experience with progressive clinical leadership experience
Physical Demands – Clerical/Administrative Patient Care:
- Frequent sitting and standing/walking with frequent position change.
- Continuous use of bilateral upper extremities in fine motor activities requiring fingering, grasping, and forward reaching between waist and chest level.
- Occasional/intermittent reaching at or above shoulder level.
- Occasional/intermittent bending, squatting, kneeling, pushing/pulling, twisting, and climbing.
- Occasional/intermittent lifting and carrying objects/equipment weighing up to 25 pounds.
- Continuous use of near vision, hearing and verbal communication skills in handling telephone calls, interacting with customers and co-workers and performing job duties.
