We are looking for Front Desk Clerk/Housekeeper Supervisor. Front Desk to work mainly 3pm -11pm but would also pick up extra hours as a Housekeeping Supervisor with day -time hours to make it full time position. Flexibility is a plus!
- Front Desk Job Responsibilities *
Provides friendly and responsive front desk service to guests, while also ensuring that guest payments are collected and processed in a reliable and timely manner.
Greets guests, assists them with check-ins and check-outs, registers and assigns rooms, issues room keys/cards, transmits and receives messages, keeps records of occupied rooms and guest accounts, makes and confirms reservations, presents statement to and collects payments from departing guests.
Ensures that all service provided is consistently prompt and courteous and designed to meet high standards of quality to ensure guest satisfaction and repeat business.
Cleans the lobby and public restroom; washes and folds laundry; and assists other staff in preparing check outs to be guest ready.
Responds to any/all emergency situations (police, fire, emergency response teams, weather, building – electrical outage, water line breaks, etc.) in a timely manner.
Organizes, confirms, processes, and conducts all guest check-ins/check-outs, room reservations, requests, changes, and cancellations; greets, registers, and assigns rooms to guests.
- Secures payment; verifies and adjusts billing. Verifies customers' credit, and establish how the customer will pay for the accommodation. Computes bills, collects payments, and make change for guests.
- Keeps abreast of hotel policies concerning room/sign rates, group and other discounts, and special offerings.
- Maintains proficiency in all location computer and software systems.
- Issues room keys, identifies and explains room features to guests. Supplies guests with directions and information regarding property amenities, services, hours of operation and local areas of interest.
- Keeps records of room availability/inventory management, and guests' accounts.
- Performs bookkeeping activities including running reports, posting payments to guest folios.
- Records guest comments or complaints, referring customers to General Manager as necessary.
- Contacts housekeeping or maintenance staff when guests report problems.
- Responds to emergency situations.
- Cleans and maintains common areas within the hotel: hallways, lobbies, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, to My Place Hotels standards.
- Assists guests in checking in or out as directed by the General Manager.
- Keeps store rooms in clean, safe, and organized condition at all times.
- Assists other employees in completing their respective duties, as necessary, to achieve guest ready rooms, public areas, and outstanding customer service.
- Cleans and maintains lobby, entrance doors including snow removal from entrances, sidewalks, and emergency exits.
- Works in laundry room area loading and unloading washers and dryers and folding items.
- Notify General Manager or Maintenance Technician of any major repairs.
- Provides inventory management to ensure property is equipped with necessary parts and supplies.
- Serves as Manager-on-Duty in General Manager and/or Lead GSR absence.
- Prepares housekeeping duty rosters for checkout and stay-over cleans.
- Inspects/stocks housekeeping carts for service preparedness.
- Inspect rooms for guest readiness.
- Other duties as assigned.
*Housekeeping Supervisor Responsibilities*
The Head Housekeepers main responsibility is to supervise housekeeping personnel. These responsibilities include cleaning, scheduling, monitoring, and supervising staff on a regular basis. Coordinate various housekeeping duties to provide the guests with a clean, comfortable stay.

Essential Functions
1. Hire or provide assistance to the General Manager in the hiring process of all housekeeping personnel.
2. Supervise and personally train all housekeeping employees in housekeeping policies and procedures and in service staff in any new or existing techniques or products.
3. Assist the General Manager in evaluating housekeeping staff as well as monitoring and determining adequate staff.
4. Clean rooms and do regular housekeeping duties as needed.
5. Inspect every room each day, either vacant or occupied.
6. Coordinate room status with front desk throughout the day.
7. Coordinate available inventory and purchasing with General Manager.
8. Complete a monthly linen inventory and weekly/monthly supply inventory.
9. Coordinate and schedule extra housekeeping activities, such as: basic mattress turning, carpet shampooing, complete deep cleaning of rooms, window washing or any other periodic cleaning tasks throughout the entire hotel.
10. Report all maintenance problems to the General Manager and maintenance personnel.
11. Follow-up on DO-NOT-DISTURB signs on guest doors-- checkout rooms at the posted checkout time and stay over rooms as late as possible, making sure a maid is available to clean if necessary.
12. Responsible for inventory of all cleaning supplies for housekeeping staff. Keep abreast with new ideas in housekeeping techniques and products.
13. Keep outside parking lot and around the building clear of garbage as needed.
14. Perform other duties as requested by the General Manager.
15. Perform in a professional manner promoting the motel with a positive attitude to other co-workers, staff and guests AT ALL TIMES.
16. Makes out the housekeeping schedule of workers for General Manager’s approval.
17. Lock linen closets, linen chutes, and trash chutes to ensure maximum safety and security at all times.
18. NEVER let a guest in a room with your master key, have them report to the front desk for assistance. NO EXCEPTIONS!
