Job Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Nursing Assistant to join our team. As a Nursing Assistant, you will provide essential support to our healthcare professionals and assist in delivering quality patient care. Responsibilities:
- Assist with daily patient care activities, including bathing, dressing, and feeding
- Monitor vital signs and report any changes or abnormalities to the nursing staff
- Assist with physical examinations and collect specimens for testing
- Provide basic life support in emergency situations
- Administer medications under the supervision of a nurse
- Assist with sterile processing and maintaining a clean and safe environment
- Provide specialized care for patients with dementia or other cognitive impairments
- Perform catheterization procedures as required
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure effective patient care
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records
Skills:
- Proficiency in using Epic or similar electronic medical record systems
- Experience in critical care or home care settings is preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
- Ability to provide senior care with empathy and patience
- Familiarity with sterile processing techniques and infection control protocols
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work well in a team environment and follow instructions accurately
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Valid certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) is required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is preferred
