EMERGENCY DEPOLOYMENT FOOD SERVICE ROLES AND DESCRIPTIONS
Lodging Solutions is collaborating with Connect Staffing and are currently seeking qualified, experienced and reliable culinary personnel to join our Emergency Deployment team! The setting in which you will be deployed has in most cases experienced a catastrophic event. In most cases we are stationed in the following states but can vary: TX, FL, LA, FL, VA, WV, N.C, S.C. We provide high volume service in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidates for the below positions will possess reactive and critical thinking skills, as well as maintain an exceptional level of professionalism.
Lodging Solutions specializes in 24/7 emergency deployment and disaster assistance. Supplying mobile sleepers, restroom and shower trailers, laundry services and complete dining services. Our team has developed new and innovative methods to prepare and serve consistent, high-quality food in the field during emergency deployments. FOOD SERVICE MANAGER
The Food Service Manager plays a critical role in managing all front and back of house operations, ensuring staff efficiency, food production, inventory and food safety standards set forth and met. This role will require strong leadership skills, and the ability to multi-task, while instructing staff as necessary based on skill sets. Operations and logistics are ongoing daily.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Oversee all front and back of house operations, staff and service.
- Ensure dining and production areas are set per provided diagrams.
- Administrative duties and staff timekeeping.
- Oversee compliance with all local, state and federal sanitation, safety and health regulations per state of event.
- Assume a high level of care and professionalism for, client. staff and equipment
- Oversee all facets of food production, utilizing team leads to maintain inventory levels as well as meeting target levels of daily meal production.
- Collaborate with FOH Lead and Production Manager to maintain proper inventory levels and ordering has been completed to ensure production levels and service times are accurate. (Headcounts can vary daily)
- Maintain open communication with Site Manager and all other supervisors on site to communicate schedules, timelines, expectations, and changes to supervisors and staff.
- Monitor equipment and trailers to ensure efficiency, safety and maintenance.
Qualifications and Skills:
- 5+ years’ experience in Food Management, Restaurant Management or Event Management to include front and back of house
- Catering, Event, or Restaurant management experience.
- Time Management and Critical Thinking Skills
- Ability to be a role model, be responsible, and a team player.
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations.
- Ability to work well under pressure at a rapid pace.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
