Position Summary:
Bistro B-Side Bartender plays a vital role in the guest experience. The Bistro B-Side Bartender will have shifts in either or both the B-Side Lounge and Bistro 101. Bistro B-Side Bartender is responsible for having strong cocktail and food knowledge, as well as conducting proper and timely presentation of beverages and food service. Mixing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to established recipes and procedures, and following all operating procedures, safety regulations and policies are also required. The Bartender is responsible for creating a fun and friendly guest experience.
Essential Functions:
1. Responsible for redefining hospitality at Graton Resort & Casino while living, supporting, and promoting our values.
2. Create a friendly and fun atmosphere for guests.
3. Develop friendly relationship with guests to encourage regular visits and repeat business.
4. Portray a positive and professional attitude.
5. Anticipate and accommodate all guest needs.
6. Be consistent and follow all steps of service for Bistro.
7. Maintains knowledge of beverages, food items, available wine, beer, and specialty cocktails.
8. Responsible for knowing the types of classes (e.g., well, call, premium, ultra and specialty) and brand names of the products offered. Must be familiar with the acceptable alternative item to offer a guest in the event an item ordered is not available.
9. Prepare and pour drinks in a timely manner.
10. Serve and replenish drinks in a timely manner.
11. Perform proper shaking standards as determined by GRC.
12. Take beverage and food orders and serve food and beverage items accordingly to service standards.
13. Upsell food and drink items in a professional manner at every opportunity to maximize check amounts.
14. Mix and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to established recipes and procedures.
15. Handle company funds through cash transaction on the POS system in accordance with all policies and procedures.
16. Monitor and maintain cleanliness and hygiene of work area, bar tops, floors, and line equipment.
17. Receive, issue, and keep necessary records of liquor and other bar supplies.
18. Refill and stock garnishes and glassware.
19. Work closely with management to address guest concerns.
20. Other duties as assigned.
