Overview:
Work Well Registered Nurse ON-Site is responsible for assisting in developing, implementing and obtaining policies and procedures, which ensure the delivery of, care to the Corporate Health clients on site at the company.

Responsibilities:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Is aware of hospital and department compliance requirements for federally funded healthcare programs (e.g. Medicare and Medicaid) regarding fraud, waste and abuse. Brings any questions or concerns regarding compliance to the immediate attention of department or hospital administrative staff.

Purposefully conducts all aspects of the job in an ethical manner in support of the hospital’s commitment to ethical behavior in all areas of personal and professional activity.

Plans, organizes, delivers and evaluates nursing care.
- Assists in determining priorities and in the guidance of other nursing associates in the delivery of care.

Demonstrates good clinical judgement.

Skilled, organized, and efficient in performing required nursing activities.

Alert to potentially hazardous situations.

Participates in Quality Assurance.

Maintains positive relationship with members of the administrative team and medical staff.

Communicates with members of the interdisciplinary team.

Serves as an internal resource for the worker’s compensation insurance carrier concerning these matters.

Reviews recommendations of the regulatory agencies in order to assure that policies and procedures of the assigned area meets or exceeds the prescribed standard.

Responsible to maintain health records of all patients entering the clinic.

Keep supervisor informed of changes, and activities occurring.

Recommends changes to improve employee health and direction of the clinic.

Updates knowledge and maintains competency by reviewing professional litterateur, or attending educational offerings.

Influences future events.

Participates in change and successful implementation of new ideas.

Plan innovative inservices.

Supports work within the budget guidelines.

Applies current cost containment concepts.

Applies consistent and appropriate interpretation and implementation of hospital policies with assigned area.

A good share of day is always spent on site for different projects.

Effectively complies with state, federal, and local laws.

Effectively complies with voluntary accreditation as accepted by the hospital.
Qualifications:
Education
Graduate from a State approved nursing school and demonstrates satisfactory academic and clinical preparation.
Current state of Iowa Registered Nurse license or temporary Iowa permit.
Qualifications/Experience
License for State of Iowa.
CPR training.
Certified instructor for CPR.
Certified for drug screen collection.
Acute hospital setting or physician office setting prior to this job.
Certified in First Aide.
Knowledge of OSHA.
