We currently have an opportunity for a Sr. Litigation Assistant to join our claims team in our Plymouth, MN office or remotely nationwide. This job is responsible for providing high-level litigation support of a complex and confidential nature to the company’s Coverage Litigation Group operations. The job assists the Coverage Litigation Group in the preparation of pleadings, reports, and litigation files for trial and ultimate resolution. Requires a broad knowledge of litigation and litigation-related software for billing and filing needs. Candidate will be highly organized and work well as a member of a team that provides legal support to the Coverage Litigation Group.
Responsibilities:-
Develops and maintains litigation-related documents

Assists Coverage Litigation attorneys in the preparation of pleadings, reports, and litigation files for trial and ultimate resolution

Monitors processing of court, vendor, and other Coverage Litigation expense payments to ensure timeliness and accuracy

Creates and submits expense reports for Coverage Litigation team members.

Manages PACER billing account, as well as any other e-filing billing accounts, review monthly/quarterly billing, tracks file related charges

Calendars file related deadlines, reminders, and meetings

Opens and closes files
- E-filing and service of pleadings, motions, discovery, and other documents
- Coordinates depositions and other meetings (i.e. scheduling court reporter, finding locations, reserving conference rooms)

Creates templates for answering discovery and other pleadings/documents

Coordinates annual team meeting, DRI meeting and group events including but not limited to reserving conference rooms, catering, supplies, set-up, room amenities including technical aspects
- Assists in onboarding new team members

Orders supplies as necessary

Creates and maintains any administrative accounts for group (i.e. state court e-filing sites, CLE sites, etc.)

Handles miscellaneous tasks that arise from time to time

Demonstrated proficiency with computer software including current Windows Operating System and Microsoft Office 365, including Excel.
Education and Experience:-
High School diploma required.

Minimum of 7-9 years of experience in a law firm or corporate law department, with 1-3 years of legal practice operations preferred.
Our salary ranges are determined by many factors including location, role, experience and skillset of the candidate. The following ranges displayed reflect the target base salary for new hires but your recruiter will share more specific compensation information with you during the hiring process. The typical base salary range for this position is: $64,000 – $89,000, based on the factors aforementioned. For candidates located in San Francisco, CA; Hoboken, NJ; and the New York City metro area, the base salary range is $80,000 -$93,000.
