This role will be responsible leading our supplier quality efforts and supporting our workplace towards a “zero defects” culture. What you do:
Supplier Quality: Act as the lead for all aspects of supplier quality at FW.
- Work cross-functionally to evaluate the current suppler base to a supplier scorecard
- Establish supplier tier list and inspection processes based on supplier performance
- Track any Supplier non-conformances and work with the Quality and Purchasing teams to find solutions to these non-conformances.
- Coordinate corrective actions from vendors when repeat quality issues are discovered.
- Develop and implement an improved incoming inspection process for the receiving team
Quality Assurance: Participates and is committed to the Foundation Wellness Quality and Environmental Management Systems.
- Assist Quality team in Continuous Improvement by utilizing Root Cause analysis and implementing Corrective Actions using formal problem-solving techniques (Lean and Six Sigma)
- Work with QA team to establish a process for outgoing finished good inspections to work towards a “zero defects” culture
- Lead initiatives to train operators to specific customer requirements and cosmetic expectations to improve “Right First Time” and reduce complaints
- Support the quality team efforts in customer audits to ensure continued success
- Returns/Disposition – Facilitate disposition of rejected/returned goods to prevent unusable inventory remaining on hand
What you know:
- 3-5 Years of experience within Quality Assurance
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- ISO Certification and audit experience
- Ability to work well on own – trustworthy & focused
- Entrepreneurial and dynamic mindset that can thrive in fast-paced work environment
- Willingness to travel as needed for supplier visits/audits, etc. (very infrequently – 2-3 trips per year)
What we require:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience preferred
- 3-5 years within Quality Assurance preferred
- Lean and/or Six Sigma Training preferred
