*Registered Nurse needed at Lake Pointe Surgery Center located in the popular Sugar Land suburb of Houston, just 30 minutes southwest of Downtown. We offer an array of cosmetic procedures and are looking to expand our team, which is driven to achieve the highest quality of patient care. Our center is seeking a part time Registered Nurse who enjoys working in the plastic surgery field. The nurse is responsible for the delivery of quality, professional nursing care to both the pre-anesthesia and post-anesthesia patients.
The RN (Pre-Op/PACU) will be responsible for providing safe and direct quality care for patients receiving treatment in our state of the art licensed Ambulatory Surgery Center, Lake Pointe Surgery Center, under the supervision of the Medical Director. The Registered Nurse is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and coordinating patient care from Pre-Operative to Post-Operative function, in accordance with established federal, state and accreditation standards and facility policies and procedures. The Charge nurse is expected to display leadership in the workplace, collaborate and communicate all relevant information to physicians and staff and demonstrate competency in caring for patients. The provider would prep the patients in pre-op and recover the patients in PACU as well as circulate in the OR 1-3 days per week, approximately 2-5 cases per day. On the agreed upon dates, the provider would work from 6:30am-5pm, depending on case load. Compensation dependent upon experience level and is negotiable. Current state licensure required.
Qualifications: Holds current state licensure as a registered nurse in the state of Texas, and complies with any applicable state statutory or regulatory requirements concerning advanced practice registered nursing.
1. Minimum of 1 year of perioperative nursing experience
2. Current Texas licensure as an RN
4. Ability to complete detailed paperwork
5. Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast paced environment
6. ACLS Certification required
7. Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50 pounds
8. Warm and welcome bedside manner
9. Customer service abilities including effective listening skills
10. Exceptional teamwork skills
- Job Description & Responsibilities: Will need to PRE-OP patient at check-in & then CIRCULATE case and RECOVER patient. May need to scrub on occasion. Must be a team player, hard-working, organized and detail-oriented. Must have at least 1 year of plastic surgery operating room experience to apply. Must have experience with sterile technique, prepping and draping patient, and re-positioning patient during the procedure.

- Administers treatments in accordance with Lake Pointe Surgery Center and Sugar Land Plastic Surgery policies and procedures.
- Establish and maintain rapport with clients in order to ensure the overall customer service satisfaction of clients.
- Pursue opportunities to educate clients on additional services.
- Educate clients on all treatment processes including pre and post-treatment care guidelines.
- Maintain cleanliness and appearance of treatment rooms between each client.
- Annotate and post appropriate information and maintain accurate client treatment records/data in the client’s medical chart.
- Sustain proficiency through continuous education and training.
- All other duties as assigned.
