Job Title: Automotive Mechanic
Duties:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues in GM vehicles.
- Utilize automotive diagnostic equipment to identify problems accurately.
- Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and functionality.
- Weld components when necessary for repairs.
- Interpret and follow technical manuals and schematics.
- Repair powertrain systems and diesel engines efficiently.
- Keep accurate records of work performed and parts used.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Automotive Mechanic or similar role.
- In-depth knowledge of automotive repair and maintenance.
- Proficiency in using power tools and hand tools effectively.
- Ability to weld and read schematics.
- Familiarity with powertrain systems and diesel engine repair.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Certification from a vocational school or completion of an apprenticeship program is a plus.
