Accounting Manager Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all aspects of general accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and tax compliance.
- Assist in conducting quarterly and year-end financial audits and annual corporate financial controls audits.
- Evaluate current accounting practices and procedures, providing recommendations for process improvements.
- Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Undertake ad hoc financial analysis and projects as required.
- Supervise and/or manage general ledger accounting functions.
- Foster the professional development of staff through performance management, goal setting, ongoing training, and maintaining positive employee relationships.
- Collaborate with external auditors to facilitate accurate and timely year-end closing and financial reporting.
Qualifications for Accounting Manager:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA or MBA preferred.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with a portion of it in a supervisory capacity.
- Profound knowledge of U.S. GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, adept at communicating effectively across all levels of an organization.
- Strong leadership abilities, committed to driving and achieving results.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with other financial systems is advantageous.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,693.86 - $91,158.20 per year
