We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) or License Practical Nurse (LPN) Unit Manager for a temporary 12-week contract in a Long-Term Care (LTC) facility. The Unit Manager will oversee the nursing team and ensure the delivery of high-quality care during the day shift from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. This role is crucial in maintaining the standards of care and promoting a supportive environment for both residents and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clinical Leadership: Provide clinical leadership to the nursing staff, ensuring adherence to LTC regulations and standards of care.
- Staff Supervision: Directly supervise and support nursing personnel, including scheduling, training, and performance management.
- Care Coordination: Coordinate resident care plans with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, therapists, and social workers.
- Quality Assurance: Monitor and evaluate care delivery to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and promote resident safety and satisfaction.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of resident assessments, care plans, and interventions.
- Resource Management: Manage unit resources effectively, including staffing levels, supplies, and equipment, to optimize resident care and operational efficiency.
- Family and Resident Engagement: Foster positive relationships with residents and their families, addressing concerns and ensuring their involvement in care planning as appropriate.
Qualifications:
- Education: Graduation from an accredited school of nursing with an active RN/LPN license in that state of VT.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience in LTC, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role.
