POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for the installation, maintenance, and modification of all site facilities and utilities. Responsible for repairs, troubleshooting, calibration, and preventative maintenance of associated systems and equipment to include all process utility equipment. Responsible for maintaining good operating condition of equipment used in support of the manufacturing areas and other portions of the facility. Cleans and organizes work area according to production and safety standards.
PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES PERFORMED BY THE INCUMBENT
· Repairs and maintains machinery and equipment used in the manufacturing of process utilities according to standards.
· Checks and inspects equipment periodically to determine the need to repair or conduct preventative maintenance.
· Carries out preventive maintenance on equipment and or systems as required by Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s).
· Cleans and organizes work place to ensure both operating and safety conditions.
· Documents all work performed; complies with acceptable current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) standards.
· Provides coverage for other mechanics and helpers as within his abilities, such as daily readings, changing expendable items and other tasks as requested by the maintenance supervisor.
· Uses critical thinking skills to determine possible causes of equipment failures.
· Assumes other duties and responsibilities as required.
· Responsible to communicate with employees and management as to potential problems that need addressing or opportunities that may be acted upon.
REQUIREMENTS
· Must have a high school education and be able to read, write and perform mathematics at a level to be able to complete technical work. Prefer additional technical education.
· Must have four years of experience maintaining and repairing boilers, chillers and AHU’s.
· Must have four years of experience in a highly technical environment.
· Must have working knowledge of power transfer technology including mechanics, pneumatics and hydraulics.
· Must have good working knowledge of mechanical and electrical equipment.
· Must have experience with Building Automation Systems.
· Prefer experience in a highly regulated environment.
