Job Description: Assist warehouse management to ensure a smooth and accurate flow of incoming and outgoing materials. Load and unload trucks. Follow standard operating procedures, checking counts, ensuring accuracy, storing materials, items, etc. and shipping. Instruct assigned employees in required operations and procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Inventory accuracy, confirming any inventory overage/shortage when they occur and Initiating cycle counts when necessary.
- Confirming shipments were processed and shipped intact to the regulatory department once damage is reported. Then research and file credit claim with trucking company for reimbursement.
- Confirm dates all month end orders should be keyed for staging purposes and advance scheduling of pick-ups.
- Coordinating with Carriers in advance of full truck load shipments for hard dated deliveries.
- Confirm all orders have shipped by the end of the week.
- Managing PMs on equipment and arranging repair times.
- Provide general updates on the facility, needed repairs, and requesting needed shipping/packaging supplies.
- Work with management and purchasing agent on incoming material and timing for needed rack/floor space
- Maintain Hanford and customer inventory records (paperwork and computer) and required logbooks and charts.
- Maintaining the standard of operations that we have established.
Work hours are typically 1st shift, 5 days a week, Monday - Friday. Candidates must be flexible for overtime, and additional days including weekends.
Experience & Education requirements:
Experience with various types of forklifts is preferred. Onsite training is provided.
High school diploma or equivalent, Associates Degree or higher preferred. One to two years in a warehouse environment performing like duties with knowledge of cGMP’s preferred.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Strong writing skills and an ability to communicate in a detailed manner concerning damages (incoming & outgoing), commercial shipping issues, material packaging, or requisitions, etc.
- Knowledge of general office practices and procedures.
- Skill in operating various office equipment, including computer, calculator, facsimile, copy machine, and telephone.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to pay close attention to detail and coordinate various activities simultaneously.
- Ability to communicate with coworkers, management team members, and other individuals in a courteous and professional manner.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Ability to Participate and engage in meetings/conversations with Quality, Vendors, Carriers, etc., as needed.
