Doggy Daycare Chauffeur and Play Group Leader – AKA- Rascal Wrangler!
Compensation, Schedule & Location
- Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour, based on experience and capabilities. All employees start at $21 per hour for training with an increase to full hourly rate after a 60-day probationary period.
- Business Operating Hours: 8am-6pm, Monday - Friday.
- Ideal Schedule: This role requires consistent availability for Monday-Friday shifts within our operating hours, no early mornings, nights, or weekends.
- Shift Duration: 6.5-8 hours.
- Holidays: Closed on all major holidays with an annual closure from December 25-January 2.
- Benefits: Includes Sick Time, Paid Time Off, and a 401(k) plan. Note: Medical and dental benefits are not offered.
- Work Location: Start and end in San Carlos in our company van. Responsibilities include picking up pups from the Peninsula, overseeing their play at Rascal Ranch in Half Moon Bay, and ensuring their safe return home.

Role Summary
As a Rascal Wrangler, you will:
- Transport Dogs: Ensure the safe, comfortable transport of dogs to and from Rascal Ranch. A clean driving record and a focus on punctuality are essential.
- Client Interaction & Brand Representation: Act as a warm, professional face of our brand during client interactions. Maintain robust communication and uphold client privacy and security.
- Oversee Playtime: Actively engage with dogs during play, monitor their well-being, and manage group dynamics to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience.
- Capture Moments & Communicate: Photograph dogs during play and share updates with pet parents to keep them connected to their pets' day. Write brief, engaging updates on each dog’s activities and fun moments.
Requirements
- Commitment: Seeking candidates intending to stay long-term (minimum 9+ months).
- Technology Proficiency: Comfortable with daily use of technology like Slack and client management systems. Quick to learn new software is crucial.
- Physical Fitness: Capable of handling multiple pets and working outdoors under various weather conditions.
- Strong Communication Skills: Must exhibit professionalism and friendliness in all client interactions. Basic writing skills required for daily updates. All team members must share detailed notes throughout the day for operations and coordination, reflecting our interlinked team dynamic.
- Driving Proficiency: Efficient navigation and timely route management are required. Confident and experienced drivers only. We drive minivans and small cargo vans and provide some practice and training. Applicants must be confident in their driving skills.
