Description
St. Mary Catholic Virtue School in LIttleton, Colorado is seeking a full-time Special Education teacher for students with multi-intensive special needs. We are a Preschool-8th grade school with an enrollment of 490 students. The Special Education & Resource Teacher provides:

Case management for students with multi-intensive special needs

Development and monitoring of individualized academic, behavioral, and social-emotional goals

Scaffolding and modifications of lessons to match grade level planning

On-going student assessment and evaluation

Support for teachers to foster inclusion in a general education classroom
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Develops and updates Individualized Catholic Learning Plans for the purpose of meeting the individual needs of exceptional students

Collaborates with and coaches paraprofessionals of students with intensive needs

Collaborating with outside service providers like Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists, and Speech Language Therapists to provide wrap-around supports for students on your caseload

Addressing teacher and parent concerns for students with qualifying diagnostic evidence

Teaches students for the purpose of ensuring successful progress towards student's goals and objectives in the least restrictive learning environment

Consults and collaborates with parents and staff for the purpose of ensuring appropriate delivery of services

Schedules services for students for the purpose of providing efficient and effective services for students

Knowledge and skill to provide instruction in the areas of literacy and math
-
Collaborates with Littleton Public School to ensure appropriate delivery of services under our Proportionate Share agreement of IDEA

Applicants must be a Catholic in good standing

Applicants must have a teaching license or certificate that is valid in Colorado; or be willing to obtain Colorado teaching licensure
