- WE ARE A LARGE JOB SHOP, PLATING NUMEROUS DIFFERENT CONFIGURED PARTS AND SUBSTRATES ON A DAILY BASIS
We are currently looking for a new team leader to operate and supervise the plating line team. Candidates must be reliable and physically able to perform lifting in a factory setting. Work will involve lifting various metal items in and out of plating tanks, as well as moving items through the process of electroplating. This is mental & physical work. Not for the weak at heart! These processes involve copper, nickel, chrome, black chrome, and 24K gold plating. This job is always interesting. We provide plating on vintage and custom automotive car parts, aftermarket performance and reproduction automotive parts, musical instruments, medical, architecture, plating on one-off fabricated metal parts, and just some really cool stuff! We train in house to help ensure your success. Applicants must be able to work 5AM to 2:45PM, never past 2:45PM, Monday thru Friday with a 30-minute lunch and a 15-minute break. This is a unique opportunity to come and learn the fascinating world of electroplating.
Duties:
- Coordinates, facilitates, and directs the daily activities of hourly manufacturing associates.
- Operate the production line and work closely with various departments to ensure that parts are manufactured accordingly.
- Makes sure that appropriate parts and quantity of parts are being run according to production schedule
- Communicates any safety, quality, and/or production related issues with supervisor or appropriate management representatives.
- Coordinate housekeeping activities of area.
- Work with supervisor and other leaders to identify and address inefficiencies.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Through understanding of operations policies and practices.
- Ability to read and write English.
Education/Experience
- High school diploma or GED
- 1-2 years of previous lead experience preferred.
Physical requirements
- Must be able to stand, walk, lift, carry 9 hours in a day.
- Must be able to lift up 5-25 lbs at a time.
- Regularly perform repetitive tasks.
- Must be able to work in a manufacturing facility environment.
