EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY AND DESCRIPTION
Below is a description of the current position available with requirements and possible progressions:
1. Tig welding stainless steel schedule 10 pipe & fittings utilizing a turntable. Free hand welding. Pipe sizes ranging from 1/2” through 10”.
2. Mig welding custom steel skids. Rectangle tubing, channel iron, flat plate.
3. Basic lathe skills, not CNC.
4. Mechanical skills for assembling motors to pumps. Welded piping to pump, valves, and fittings. Ability to read schematics and drawings.
5. Mounting control panels & variable frequency drives inside pump enclosures.
6. Interconnecting all electrical equipment.
7. Final assembly of pre-packed booster pumps.
8. Programming and testing (electrically & hydraulically) of completed booster pump.
9. Building electrical control panels.
Minimum Job requirements:
A. Minimum 4+ years recent experience Tig welding.
B. Ability to lift to 80 pounds.
C. Independent worker, able to work without supervision.
D. Can-do, team-based attitude with problem solving skills.
E. Willingness to take specific directions and deliver precision quality work.
F. Verbal and written communication skills. Basic math skils including fractions.
G. Prior work in manufacturing or production a plus.
H. Work schedule is Monday through Friday with overtime needed at times.
Starting pay in the shop as a fabricator / electrical assembler is $24.00 to $28.00. This is determined after existing skills are evaluated. As skills increase wage evaluations and adjustments will be made.
ADDITIONAL POSITION AVAILABLE IN THE FUTURE:
Once the shop positions are mastered the potential exists to add higher lever work in the office if desired. This includes the following:
1. Writing up jobs which includes production sheets, check off / test sheets, equipment tags etc.
2. Building Excel spreadsheets, including using basic formulas for calculating data, modifying
PDF’s.
3. Inventory management.
4. Evaluating workloads, delivering projects to employees to be built establishing schedules and goals.
5. Designing custom control panels
6. Drawing electrical schematics in CAD
7. Filling in wherever needed.
Pay range to be determined upon consideration of position.
MJF Manufacturing is a small family business. It was originally started in 1997 by my dad working nights and weekends building basic Pre-Packaged Water Booster Pump Systems. 2001
MJF rented its first 1500 square foot suite in Greeley Colorado. 2007 we expanded from 1500 square feet to 3000 square feet. We continued to evolve and develop more complex and efficient systems providing more options to our customers. 2018 MJF became a 508A UL
Listed Industrial Control Panel Shop. We are now designing and building all our control panels for our booster pump packages. 2019 we again expanded; we are now up to 6000 square foot of shop space. This year marks 27 years of MJF Manufacturing building Pre-
Package Water Booster Pump Systems.
The working environment is of a steady as you go mentality with the ability to pick up the pace and work with a high sense of urgency when needed. All our work is completed inside the shop in Greeley Colorado. There is no field work or traveling required. The shop is airconditioned during the summer and heated in the winter.
