What We Are Looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting
- 5+ years experience in a similar accounting role, preferably in homebuilding industry
- Positive attitude with the ability to manage and support fellow team members through the sharing of knowledge and training
- Analytical and organizational skills coupled with the ability to manage time effectively
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to collaborate and manage relationships with employees of all levels of the organization
What You’ll Be Doing Each Day
- Supervise staff accountants and accounts payable associates
- Review and approve journal entries and construct high level, complex journal entries, while ensuring compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) as well as internal accounting policies
- Responsible for month end close process, timely account reconciliations, and KPI tracking.
- Assist with interim and year-end audits by collecting and validating data, providing documentation and responding to inquiries.
