The Soho Grand Hotel is seeking a Food & Beverage Junior Manager to join the Gilligan's team for the Spring/Summer seasonal position.
As the weather warms, Gilligan's becomes the ideal open-air backdrop for cocktail parties, dinners, weddings and receptions. Day or night, Gilligan's is an urban oasis where guests can bask in the warm breeze and enjoy a menu full of summertime favorites.
The Gilligan’s F&B manager is responsible for managing the Gilligan’s FOH team members, ensuring accordance with company standards and culture to achieve objectives in sales, cost containment, team members retention, guest satisfaction/recognition, cleanliness, and sanitation.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
o Provide genuine, professional service as defined by Soho Grand’s service culture.
o Follow through with guest requests; ensure service is timely, accurate and maintains a high service standard
o Manage team members with their job functions to ensure optimum service to guests
o Enforcing standards of service on all levels and work on maintaining and improving them with all staff including appearance where necessary
o Responsible in training and on-boarding new team members. Help with their development to improve their skills and confidence on the floor
o Conduct daily effective and informative pre-shift meetings with team members
o Demonstrate product knowledge and service standards at all times
o Follow safety and evacuation guidelines
o Follow allergy protocols and train team members
o Follow public space and furniture look book guidelines
o Communicate any hotel guest issue with the management team
o Recognize repeat guests
o Ensure that team member reports to work as scheduled. Document any late or absent team members and handle any scheduling conflicts/Issues during schedule shifts
o Assist servers with expediting problem payments. Ensure all cashiering procedures are processed in compliance with accounting standards
o Run system-closing reports and ensure that all servers' checks are closed before they sign out
o Ensure all closing duties for team member are completed before team members sign out
o Assist with any logistical & administrative duties assigned by the director
o Communicating any maintenance or cleanliness issues to the proper channels
o Professionally and clearly communicate on company email

QUALIFICATIONS
o 2+ years of experience working in high volume & luxury properties and fine dining venues
o Excellent in guest service, and the ability to maintain professional service during peak periods
o Knowledge of food and all allergies related to food and beverage
o Food handler card
o Fluency in English both verbal and non-verbal
o Provide legible communication
o Advanced Microsoft office
o Compute basic arithmetic
o Have the ability to reach, bend, stoop, climb up and down stairs, carry multiple objects

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 per year
