Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled project manager to lead our MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) engineering design projects from start to finish. The ideal candidate will have expertise in project management, construction site operations, and project coordination. Additionally, the project manager will act as a business development manager, identifying new client opportunities to increase sales and potentially expand our team. This role requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and the ability to manage the entire project lifecycle while ensuring successful outcomes.
Summary of Job Duties:
- Manage and lead MEP projects, coordinating with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure success.
- Develop and implement project plans, including timelines, milestones, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.
- Read and interpret construction blueprints and schematics; use software tools such as Bluebeam, AutoCAD, and Revit for project tracking.
- Conduct construction estimating, cost analysis, site assessments, and feasibility studies.
- Ensure adherence to timelines, budgets, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Communicate effectively with project team members, clients, and stakeholders, providing updates and addressing concerns.
- Oversee project finances, including budgeting, forecasting, and expense tracking to ensure profitability.
- Lead and develop the Engineering Team, providing technical guidance and conducting performance reviews.
- Manage up to 20 projects simultaneously, ensuring all documentation is well-documented and communicated.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage project scope, financial decisions, and change controls.
- Support development of master plans, capital plans, and budgets with the Director of Engineering.
- Manage vendor relations and project expectations; lead change management efforts to improve processes.
- Act as a business development manager, seeking new clients and generating leads to increase sales and expand the business.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Professional certification in Project Management (PMP) or a related certification is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of MEP systems, construction methods, and building codes.
- Knowledge of construction estimating, cost analysis, and budgeting.
- Proven experience in managing MEP projects, preferably in a leadership role.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and permit application processes.
- Strong communication, leadership, and team management skills.
Experience:
- Minimum of 3-7 years of experience in project management within the MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) engineering field.
- Proven track record of managing and leading multiple MEP projects simultaneously from inception to completion.
- Extensive experience coordinating with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project success.
- Demonstrated expertise in developing and implementing project plans, including timelines, milestones, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting construction blueprints and schematics.
- Hands-on experience with project management software and tools, including Bluebeam, AutoCAD, and Revit.
- Experience leading and developing engineering teams, providing technical guidance, and conducting performance reviews.
- Background in business development, client relationship management, and lead generation to increase sales and expand the business is highly desirable

Pay: $100,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
