We are seeking a Shipping/Receiving Coordinator for our Brierfield, AL Operations. This role is responsible for performing the daily processing of inbound/outbound shipments and keeping records of all products shipped and received. Develop shipping documents and ensure all orders have been filled correctly. Expected work schedule is Monday - Friday 5:30 am - 4:00 pm.
Responsibilities:
- Assure inbound trucks have proper documentation and verify incoming shipments through physical counts
- Order truck and rail cars for shipment
- Track demurrage reasons related to rail cars
- Process outbound shipments in a timely manner and assure proper documentation and correctness of material involved including a photo log
- Consolidate paper flow from yard and post correct information to proper location or person
- Monitor shipments to ensure that customer specific requirements are met
- Participate and contribute to company safety program
- Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications:
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalency required
- Experience: One year of shipping and transportation experience required; Two years' data entry experience in an administrative role. Manufacturing experience preferred.

- Computer skills with Excel, Word and Outlook mandatory
- Demonstrated communications skills, written and verbal
- Ability to handle multiple requests and assignments

- Must have proven ability to negotiate effectively
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs
- To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of email, spreadsheet software, database software, word processing software, and presentation software
